Guilherme Buso deu seus primeiros arremessos numa quadra de basquete aos 9 anos de idade. Desde então, disputou todos os campeonatos das categorias de base, atuou por uma temporada de High School nos Estados Unidos e foi parte da equipe adulta de Santo André até sua formação acadêmica como jornalista na Universidade Metodista. Produziu o documentário "Bola ao Cesto", que faz uma retrospectiva detalhada da Seleção Brasileira de basquete masculina. Foi repórter da TV Federação Paulista de Futebol, mas jogar, assistir e comentar os jogos da bola laranja sempre foram sua tarefa predileta. Atualmente, é gerente de comunicação da Liga Nacional de Basquete e escreve para a NBA desde 2007.
