Jeremy Lin Is A New York Giant

The T-shirts all over Madison Square Garden said it all.
On the front, the shirts simply read: "The Jeremy Lin Show."
On the back of those shirts, they appropriately said: "We Believe."
The NBA's first Chinese-American and Taiwanese-American, third Harvard grad and the sports world's second Tim Tebow story has captivated the league these last 48 hours.
The undrafted NBA point guard who didn't even receive an athletic scholarship offer for college is indeed on top of New York, New York.
Lin's 25-point, 7-assist winning performance Saturday against the Nets' Deron Williams was one thing.
But duplicating the greatness against the Jazz Monday--28 points and 8 assists--on a winning night where the Knicks were without Amar'e Stoudemire (brother's death) and Carmelo Anthony (injury) took things to a new level, best exemplified by the "MVP" chants Lin received when he shot free throws.
In a word, Jeremy was simply LINCREDIBLE!
His Player Efficiency Rating is an MVP-like 25.07 in 135 minutes this season.
His raw plus-minus in 2011-12 is so high in limited minutes for a losing team (+37) that Coach Mike D'Antoni was afraid to put him back on the bench Monday, playing Lin 45 of 48 possible minutes.
Lin's story just reminds me so much of Tebow: second-year player; humble Christian; great leader; makes everybody around him better; does well in limited pro opportunities (14.79 rookie PER); gets demoted when new coaches come aboard (waived in Golden State and Houston for free-agent salary-cap purposes); remains a fan favorite wherever he goes; finally earns a starting spot.
I just love the guy. That's why Lin is on my two fantasy basketball teams ... And after these two Knick wins, I am sure Lin will be on every NBA coaches' scouting report.
